    History of ZIETs Timeline & Historical Photographs

    KVS being the pace-setting organization in school education in India established its first Zonal Institute of Education and Training at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. It was established to cater to the training needs of teaching and non-teaching staff including the principals of KVS.

    The Foundation stone of ZIET, Gwalior was laid on 30th September 1995 by Late Sh. Madhavrao Scindia, the then Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
    The main building, housing, Administrative block, and Training facilities was inaugurated on 20th November 2002 by Sh. H.M. Cairae, IAS the then commissioner of KVS. The institute has 15 Acres of land with Sylvan surroundings with Hostel facilities for about 100 participants. The institutes also have other amenities such as sports fields, gardens, parks, fountains and open theatre etc.

    Since its inception there is no turning back to KVS-ZIET Gwalior in providing Excellent training to the teaching and non- teaching staff of KVS with state of Art facilities in training fields. Teachers are trained periodically at KVS-ZIET Gwalior through systematic training modules, to understand the new trends in classroom teaching, management and teaching methodologies.

    The KVS-ZIET Gwalior has been given the responsibility of catering to the training needs of the staff of five regions namely Agra, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Lucknow and Varanasi Region. Apart from training the institute is actively involved in developing training modules for various courses and also acts as a support system in implementing Academic policies received from KVS (HQ) from time to time.
